This high-kicking lady was a member of a group of "old age pensioners" who were on holiday in the seaside resort of Blackpool in 1955. See her doing a split on card #473.
Anna Mary Robertson Moses, known to all as Grandma Moses, began her painting career when she was in her seventies. She published her autobiography at age ninety-two, and her one hundredth birthday was celebrated with her photograph on the cover of Life magazine. She was living proof that life is what you make it.
